Cross Culture Studio’s newly released short film, Shine quickly turned heads at the International Christian Film Festival 2018. The short film, written and directed by Christopher LaMark, tallied a total of 4 award nominations. The nominations include, Best Lead Actor (Nick Covington), Best Screenplay, Best Inspirational, and Best Overall in the short film category. The festival took place in Orlando, Fl.
Shine snags “Best Short Film” at the 2018 HGAG Film Festival in Houston, Texas.
The Houston Gospel Announcers Guild held their annual film festival at Texas Southern University. The event brought notable names including music mogul Mathew Knowles, entertainment attorney Rickey Anderson, Rick Ferguson (Houston Film Commission) and special guest Sheila Jackson Lee. While the southern festival attracted entrants from all over the nation, it was a local film director who snagged the award of ‘Best Short Film.’ “SHINE is an example of creative and original filmmaking,” writes Rick Ferguson of the Houston Film Commission. The short film will be released December of 2018.
